About me

As a Latina growing up in North Philadelphia my family inherited generational cycles of trauma and lacked emotional intelligence but I knew my empathic heart was meant to share the wisdom I learned. I remember in grade school trying to understand why my nervous system was dysregulated (PTSD). I remember having a teacher (Ms. Cook) that would mentor me, give me space to process my emotions and allow me to feel (cry) without shame.

In high school, I was so afraid to be vulnerable/build relationships and I knew it stemmed from not having a healthy emotional foundation of support from both parents. After years of failed relationships and repeated generational cycles, I started seeking therapy in my late 20s and learned about the effects that childhood trauma can create like mental health illnesses, lack of self worth, repeated patterns & more. The healing journey towards more self-compassion is not easy but I know the knowledge I am learning will help me, family generations to come and my community.

For the last 7 years, I’ve mentored with Big Brothers Big Sisters, created Self-Love workshops, and shared healing and mindset tips within my online community. I relocated to Tampa 2 years ago to heal around nature, meet more parts of myself and create opportunities outside of my norm.

I believe mindset and healing are essential foundations towards growing and accomplishing goals. I also love to emphasize the importance of reclaiming your power after trauma by allowing more Joy (fun, art, beauty, and laughter) into your life.
